Community Support Services Program

The Wapski Mahikan Society was established to provide community support service programs which will meet the needs of children and families residing within the society’s jurisdiction. And to advance the interests of children and their families by support service programming with emphasis in cultural and traditional values, by providing services such as; homemaking, transportation, and youth work for children and families.

Programs and Supports

Family Intervention

The Wapski program offers assistance to families, struggling to maintain stability and structure in the home, by working one on one with the parent and children.


Transportation

The Wapski Transportation program provides members who are currently under a child welfare status with, transportation support to appointments and family visits. Our transport drivers are First Nation, and/or Community members

Customs and Beliefs

The Wapski Mahikan Society believes in maintaining a First Nation Based support program that promotes cultural values and beliefs.
